Discover HER story
Deborah Modica is a lifelong advocate for hard work, community involvement, and responsible leadership. Born and raised in Mt. Bethel, PA, she attended Bangor School and was selected for the prestigious Project Upward Bound at East Stroudsburg University—a government program designed to develop future leaders of America. From an early age, Deborah demonstrated a strong work ethic, getting hands-on experience in production agriculture, livestock judging, and public speaking through her active participation in FFA (Future Farmers of America). She was also a dedicated 4-H member, a Girl Scout, and began working on local farms and in a cabinet shop at just 11 years old.
In 1981, Deborah moved to the West End, where she planted deep roots and has called Chestnuthill Township home ever since. As a wife and mother of three, she understands the importance of building a strong, supportive community where families can thrive.
A Wealth of Experience – From Real Estate to Development & Public Service
With over 25 years as a licensed real estate professional, Deborah has played a key role in new home construction, property development, and helping families and businesses find the right place to grow. She is currently leading a large-scale project for her lifelong riding club, which she has been part of since she was seven years old. As an advisory board member, Deborah works closely with her team to oversee all aspects of development—including land use planning, township meetings, zoning approvals, and construction preparation.
Her experience extends far beyond real estate. As a small business owner, she knows the challenges of budgeting, managing expenses, and making smart financial decisions. As a farmer, she understands the importance of agriculture in Chestnuthill Township and remains committed to preserving and strengthening this vital industry.
A Passion for Giving Back
Deborah has always been deeply committed to community service. Her extensive volunteer work includes:
✔ Habitat for Humanity – Helping families secure safe, affordable housing

✔ North Carolina Hurricane Relief – Assisting with disaster recovery efforts
✔ Sons of Italy Children's Program – Supporting educational and community initiatives for children
✔ Clover Leaf Saddle Club – Contributing to youth programs and equestrian development
Beyond these efforts, she regularly supports local seniors by providing fresh produce, eggs, and well-being check-ins to ensure they are cared for. She is also an active member of the Pocono Mountain Board of Realtors Grievance Committee, advocating for fairness and ethical practices in the industry.
Committed to a Stronger Chestnuthill Township
Now, Deborah is ready to bring her experience and leadership to public office. As a Chestnuthill Township Supervisor, she will work tirelessly to:
✔ Keep taxes low while ensuring responsible financial management
